The Monsters She Keeps is my adult why-choose monster romance in progress, following a sanctuary sorceress whose attempt to summon a healing spirit brings three unexpected men into her world. As an unnatural drain on magic threatens the creatures in her care, their search for answers draws them closer to danger, and to one another.

Daedra has built a secluded jungle refuge for magical creatures others fear, but welcoming three displaced strangers into her life is another matter. Leto is an irreverent Shade with a gift for tracking magic and a ready appetite for affection. Ren is a gentle Krael inventor struggling to reclaim his freedom and trust after imprisonment, while Zakan is a proud Ifrit commander accustomed to giving orders Daedra has little interest in following. Finding the source of the sanctuary’s failing magic will demand their uneasy cooperation. For Daedra, growing close to them means challenging a long-held belief: that anyone who chooses to stay will demand she sacrifice her authentic self and her freedom.
